More Than Just Mentorship
The Marketing Fems Mentorship Program connects experienced women marketers with rising talent to create real-world impact. As a mentor, you’ll support interns as they take the lead on real-world projects, helping nonprofits build their marketing presence from the ground up, while strengthening your own leadership and coaching skills in the process. Most mentors commit just 2–4 hours per month, making it a manageable and meaningful way to give back.

Step 1: Apply to Become a Mentor
Fill out a quick application to tell us about your background, experience, and what drives you. We’re looking for passionate marketers who want to make a difference by guiding the next generation and supporting meaningful nonprofit causes.

Step 2: Get Matched with a Mentee
Once accepted, you’ll be paired with an aspiring woman marketer who's eager to learn. Your mentee will be working with a nonprofit that needs help building their marketing and social media presence. You’ll provide hands-on support as they grow their skills.

Step 3: Begin Mentorship & Stay Connected
You’ll typically meet with your mentee weekly or biweekly over Zoom, depending on their needs. Expect to spend about 30–60 minutes each week offering feedback, brainstorming ideas, or reviewing their work. You’ll also stay connected through Slack for quick questions and ongoing support.

Step 4: Start Your Certification Training
Once you begin mentoring, you’ll start your Certified Executive Coach and Mentor training through the Management and Strategy Institute, fully covered by us. You’ll have 3 months to complete the certification while mentoring, blending real-world experience with structured training.

Step 5: Become a Certified Mentor & Coach
After passing the certification, you’ll officially become a Certified Executive Coach and Mentor. This credential not only enhances your ability to guide mentees in our program, it’s also a powerful asset in your own professional journey.

Step 6: Advance Your Professional Growth Year After Year
Each year you stay in the program, you’ll receive meaningful recognition and professional development opportunities, from conference passes and coaching tracks to an all-expenses-paid trip in year five. Your impact grows with every year you give back.

Who can become a mentor?

Do I need previous mentorship experience?
Not at all. We provide training and support, including a professional certification, to help you feel confident in your role.
How much time do I need to commit?
Most mentors commit 2–4 hours per month. This includes occasional Zoom check-ins and being available via Slack to answer questions or provide feedback.
What kind of work will the mentee be doing?
Interns typically manage social media content for a nonprofit and follow a strategy we build out for each client. You’ll guide them as they learn to apply their skills in a real-world setting.
Do I need to complete the certification before I begin mentoring?
Not at all. You’ll complete the Certified Executive Coach and Mentor program over your first 3 months of mentoring. It’s meant to guide and strengthen your leadership skills while you gain hands-on experience.

You’re welcome to continue mentoring and unlocking more professional development perks each year, or take a break and rejoin when you're ready.
